BLUP Estimates of Mixed Model for Alzheimer Data Lead Investigator: Serpil Aktas Institution : Stony Brook University E-Mail : spxl@hacettepe.edu.tr Proposal ID : 185 Proposal Description: Best linear unbiased prediction (BLUP) is used in linear mixed models for the estimation of random effects. In this study, the linear mixed model will be set up for alzheimer data. In the model: outcome variable is the occurence of Alzheimer for a subject (yes, no, unknown). Regressor variables are the some traits of the subjects. For example, Gender Smoking status, number of generation, status of APOE gene etc. In the final model significant risk factors will be investigated.
